Post subject:  Aluminum to steel question

I'm getting ready to rivet aluminum sheet into the trunk of my Valiant. I've been considering putting something between the aluminum and steel to reduce rattles, and protect the surfaces from each other.

Any thoughts of what would work well? The fuel cell is going to be mounted to the aluminum sheet.

A tube of RTV.

Seal it
Anti-Rattle
and glue it in addition to the rivets.

I've been searching on Urethane adhesives. Found some by Dow, but so far they tend to come in 55 gallon drums!
I'll keep looking! Some of the structural adhesives look very interesting. Now to find a small tube of the stuff! :D
