Hi Guys. I have a 63 dart with 125k on the engine and it is leaking some oil when sitting in my garage. Should I just replace the seal when I pull the oil pump or should I replace the pump with a new one since its out?

Thanks

John

Which gasket is it leaking from, the block or the pump?

I have not tried to retighten the bolts yet still in exploratory mode and I am not sure if it is the pump or the seal. I figured once I lifted things up and got access to the pump I could check it all out, I already have the pump to engine gasket and thought I would replace it since it I access.
Sounds like I should do some more digging first?
Thanks for the quick responses.
We have a beautiful sunny warm day here is Seattle its almost 50°!

First clean the area and the pump (external) then drive or run engine to see where the oil is really coming from. Might just be a leaky sender unit.
