Post subject:  Wilkesboro Race July 17th Announcement and Report
The 10th annual Slant Six race at Wilkesboro Raceway Park is now less than two weeks away. This has always been one of our classic races since the beginning. The turnout has always been fantastic and the racing too.
Lets support Tim Harrold for putting out the big purse year after year. Bring any slant six you have to the Dealership for display to the public on Sat. July 17 at 10:00 am until sometime after lunch and we will head to the track later in the afternoon. Gates open at 4:00 with practice around 5:30 pm.

I am coming for sure, and should have 2 cars (Project V and Slantkota). Maybe I can talk James Longhurst into coming and running my truck...

Unfortunately I have a wedding to attend that weekend, and my car is not anywhere near ready...

One of my favorite races, but unfortunatly, not this year. I really appriciate Empire Chryslers support for this event, for many years.

Wilkesboro and Clay City are the two races I have been looking forward to attending for years. I wasn't able to escape from Afghanistan in time for Wilkesboro this year, but next year for sure!

Is this pretty much a 1 day event?

Eliminations on saturday Nite after Practice/ time trials???

Wanting to go, Have enough $, just need to get ruster together and to TNT tomorrow nite here.

Greg, it is a 1-day meet, and eliminations have run late into the night when we had a large turnout.

We are going to miss you guys that can't come. We are hoping for some unannounced people to show up. Keeping our fingers crossed. Greg hope TNT goes well. It will be great to see the ruster go down the track.

Worked out some bugs at the TNT.

One Small oil leak to fix on the front timing Cover.

I really hope a lot of "non board members" showed up.

Hopefully the Drakes, Fosters, Parkers, and other typical supporters of this historic race were there.
