OK; this is on an 89 Ramcharger; (my 17 yo son's "1st vehicle")
It has no spare tire at the moment
(correction; I have a spare TIRE but no wheel to mount it on)
A PO replaced the original, OE 15" wheels with a set of 16" aluminum ones;
orig size for the truck, (according to the door sticker) was 31X10.50-R 15.
currently has 275/75R16 tires on these aftermarket rims.
What I would like to do, would be to find a cheap steel 16" wheel so I can mount the loose tire, that is the same size as what the truck is rolling, onto;
it's just gonna be a spare; so before I go spend the $ on something like a generic white wagon wheel I'd rather find a stock 15" one and a 31 or 32" used tire and call it good. it's only a spare. I don't wanna spend $60 on a wheel. (or more)
Does anyone know an application with 5 on 5-1/2" with the large center hole like all 85-93 Dodge trucks and vans had but will take a 16" tire rather than 15?
I can find 15" rims "all day long" that fit the truck;
I thought the 94-01 wheel might fit; bolt pattern is OK but the center hole isnt (I'd need to "torch" it out) I spent an afternoon with a "guinea pig" junkyard truck trying different rims and came up empty.

I'd be interested in this as well.

good pc of info to have for sure but all it would tell me taht I could see was what was STOCK on a given vehicle not what "other" wheels may fit... I may be goin back to 15s; I found a set of 31X10.50-15s that are like new; (take offs-- Michelins at that; now why would someone do that?)
though they are pricey I love Michelins!
so now to do something easier for now; find a set of 15" wheels to fit the RC (which is what they came with)
my son's "1st ride"; I just want it safe for him w/ the best bang for the buck. the 16s that were on it (from the Nevada desert were dry rotted BAAAAD; which was a shame considering how good the tread was; though he really dont need load range E's for a Ramcharger anyways, right?
so I found a set of "less dry rotted" Coopers with ~1/2 tread that would fit his 16" wheels and by the time I resold the 6 lug GM wheels they came with essentially got him safer for free. but these Michelins are barely a yr old according to the DOT number (they coulda sat on a shelf for a few months of that) witH NO dry rot; and about 90-95% tread. they are at a farm auction so I expect them to go for about the cost of 1 new, for the set of 4.

On my 87 D150, I used a die grinder and carbide burr to open the center hole on circ. 1994 1/2 ton Dodge truck road wheels. So far, I havent seen another one like it.
