Post subject:  Threw down some paint

Been building the /6 for some time now (machine work) and got bored so I decided to do some repair body work and throw down some paint. This will be a 2-3 yr temp paint job, till I have the money & time to do it "right".

fresh paint (satin black)

I like it. Good to use the lines of the car...

Thanks! Using the body lines def helped in sanding, masking and pin striping. The coinsidence is that most the bad body flaws were within those two lines. lol

I agree with Lou, great use of the lines. Some cars really lend themselves to two tone paint work, and that's one of them. Nice work. :)

Thanks guys. A guy on FABO mentioned that I should go across the back too. I'll spray that and the hood scoop when my buddy finishes glassing it.

Nice Cliff. I've never seen that type of paint job on a 64 and it's pretty darn cool

Well shoot, that looks awesome! I use the body lines for my black, but go underneath, where the white is poking out underneath the black on ours; never thought about doing it that way.

I really dig the red stripe on there too, that is a nice touch.
