I have purchased a 65 gt dart, 87,000 original miles.
Question how do I identify if the motor is a 170 or 225 and is original to the car. The air cleaner says Charger 225. I was not sure if the motor had been change. Any info would be great.

Sure sounds like a 225, check the length of the small by-pass hose or "scrape" to find the block's ID numbers or block casting number.
Here is a link to articles with this info.
