I had been thinking about adapting a Supra 5spd to my valiant... until a week or two ago when I picked up a Ford Aerostar van to part out and discovered it had a 5speed tranny. I haven't examined it really closely yet, but I think it may be a T-5. Does anyone out there know what tranny this is? The engine is a 3.0 V6.

It may be a T5, but I'm not sure. Lots of Ford products had 'em. Take a look on Ebay and search "T5" and you should get a bunch of hits with pictures to compare yours with. The V8 and 4 and 6 cyl ones look essentially the same on the outside with only very minor differences.
