I would be interested to see what kind of times some of you have gotten with 1 barrel carbs.
Maybe a thread that shows time broken down by carburetors, 1v, 2v, 4v, multiple carbs, etc.

Hi,
My car is a 1972 Plymouth Valiant 225 with holley 1920 /904 and 2.76 gears out back in the 7 1/4 rear. All stock with open exhaust (stock downpipe) just below driver was 17.866 at 75.32mph in the 1/4 mile.
here is the run down of the slip, 60' ... 2.450
330 .. 7.329
1/8 ... 11.398 mph 60.80
1000 ... 14.879
1/4 ... 17.866 mph 75.32
Definitely not the fastest/quickest 1 barrel but prety darn good

Back in 1976, my 1965 Valiant 170 cid NHRA legal Z/SA ran a 16.17 on the brakes in the final of the Division 1 Bracket Championships. Darn! I was dialed a 16.20. :x

I think Phil Marvetz ran mid-low 15's with a 1bbl on his Duster stocker.
