Yes they will fit, as long as you use a 65-67 V-8 converter on a 60-67 trans, or a 68 up converter on a 68 up trans. The stall speed may or may not be correct, by a couple of hundred rpm. Also a 360 converter would need the weights removed. One other thing a lockup or non lockup converter must be used with the correct lockup or non lockup trans.

In a stock application the Slant and 318 get the exact same converter.

In the aftermarket, reduce the rated stall for a small block by around 400 RPM for a Slant application as a general rule.

running about 220hp and 250tq. 400 rpm difference still a good range?

thx

I disagree with S/6 and 318 converters being exactly the same one.The 318 one behind a S/6 will stall 200-300 RPMs lower than the OEM S/6 one.I've put quite a few S/6 converters behind 318s for a "free" performance trick, including my daily driver.
