Well, I had a used flowmaster laying around and I put it on my wife`s 65 cuda,it sounds pretty good to me,a lot of people like the turbo style muffs
especially the dynomax,I think they sound a little metallic for me,the flowmaster to me on a slant and this is my first one sounds like a british sports car kinda, certainly not like a UPS truck, that was funny, :D

Use a 30" plus long stock style muffler off of a an old "C" body Imperial. They are very mellow and quiet... It keeps my 440 nice and quiet. Walker makes them!

Another option would be a Delta 50 series Flow Master truck muffler if you want a little definition.......

Stay away from 14" long Flow Masters and Turbos........pretty noisy at cruise.

I just recently installed a 14" Magnaflow muffler, 2.25 in and 2.25 out...sounds great, nice deep rumble at idle and lower RPM's but at highway speeds there is no droning or irritating vibration. It's also dumped right before the rear axle.

On my Dart with a SL6, I run a 2.25" head pipe into a 2.25" MagnaFlow that has a 18" long body, 2.25" over the axle into a 2" resonator muffler and 2" tail pipe.
It provides a very deep smooth sound with no raspiness or resonance at all from idle through 5000 rpm.

my slant is in an A108 van i have Clifford shoty headers run into a collector the dumps into a 40" long glasspak. from there it's a 2.25 pipe up and over the axle and another, 12" glasspak hangs beside the gass tank. then it dumps out to the rear. granted, i have much more room than the most of the Darts and Valiants and such, but it is whisper quiet and still is a free flow without restrictions.

the 40
' pak is a custom made size. the muffler shop happened to have an unclaimed one laying around. i think the best idea is the second pak at the rear.

I just installed a Jones Full Boar (quieter version) on my Slantkota. Deep sound, but quiet. Very happy with that. It was around $70 from summit. Dynomax Super Turbo also works well.
