Should I use this on the new metal gasket I got? Most metal gaskets(motorcycle) I have dealt with have a film or sealer on them. Or they are layered steel, alum, steel. ,Cliff |

You have to use something on the shim head gasket and Permatex Copper Spray-A-Gasket is a fine choice. Just used it on the steel shim head gaskets for a good friend's 383 in his Coronet wagon. |

It is a Mopar steel shim style head gasket not an MLS or custom job. I was refering to the Permatex copper spay... All I really needed to say is that it was a head gasket. ,Cliff |

The stock Mopar head gasket does need a sealer. The "copper coat" should be fine. |
