Hi all,

Does anyone know what the going rate is for this setup from Ecology or Pick-a-Part in the SoCal area? I've been searching for a disc brake setup for my '66 Coronet, and am wondering if it's worth it to look for one in a salvage yard or just buy the parts I need. From the few ads I've seen, full setups seem to be going for around $250 and up. How much would I save by pulling it myself? I would appreciate any info or suggestions. Thanks!!

The $250 range sounds about right but mostly depends on the guy at the window when you go to pay if he knows what you got. I have paid $5 bucks for things that I thought would go for $20-$30 and paid for some things that were the same as auto store prices. Be careful as to what you say at the window, if they think it is something special the price goes up. If your area is like mine the yards are still loaded with 80's Diplomats and Furys, along with Chrysler Newyorkers. Many times I have found these cars with new brake parts installed and match the 73-76 A-Body parts.
