I was at one of the local pick-your-part junk yards this weekend. I found, but didn't have the time to pull, one of the factory sl6 to small block 727 adapters like Lou (dart270) used to put that OD trans in his dart. I know there's been some interest in these, so I thought I'd make it known that there's on in Santa Paula Calif if anyone is looking for one. I'll give directions if anyone needs them. I just don't see myself getting the time to pull it anytime soon.

You might want to look at a map to get a rough idea. The yard is in Santa Paula, just east of Ventura, maybe 10miles from the intersection of the 101 and the 126 freeways. You can also come from I-5 down near Magic mountain. On 126, on the west side of Santa Paula, you take the Briggs off ramp. If comming from Ventura, turn right, then right again. You'll follow what ever road this is for a 1/2 mile or so untill you start seeing pic-your-part type yards. There's one desent road that t-bones the one you're on from the right. Take that road untill you see a yard that says something like 'oldies but goodies' and a new green fence. It's near the end of this little road, it's hard to miss. Once in the yard, $2, near the back of the domestic car section you'll find the trucks, there's a blue 68-69 D100 truck, with a camper. This is the truck. Don't worry, this yard is not hard to find, just find the 126 freeway, the briggs offramp, and drivearound a little. If all you see is lemon trees, and no speed bumps, you went the wrong way on briggs. (actually, the street that the junk yards are on turns into something different, but it doesn't matter as you don't have any options)..

Good luck,
matt-

Thanks for the info Matt. I'll be heading down there in the mourning. Hopefully I will not get lost. Does the yard have a name thats easily remembered? Thanks.

I found the yard and truck. It took a good while to get it out with the extra braces and cables I had to deal with. Thanks again.

Cool. I'm glad it didn't go to waste. Let us know if you end up doing something cool with it.
