I've got a 68 Dart w/ a 225 slant 6 w/ a one barrel holley and I want to switch to a 4barrel edelbrock w/ Clifford 4 barrel intake manifolds and I'm trying to find out how big of a carb and a cam I can put in her without blowin it. thanks matt http://curbfeeler.com matt@curbfeeler.com |

Best suggestion I can make for a basically stock engine is the 1971-77 244 degree .406/.414 MP PN#3512639. If you like Holleys, the 390 CFM 4 bbl is a sure bet. I've run them on 4 & 6 cyl engines. If you prefer the Carter, the 500 CFM is a little larger but also a good choice. You can get 2 and 4 bbl adaptor plates for the Clifford intakes. You may want to consider a 2300 Holley/Webber 2 bbl for starters, and then step up to the 4 bbl later. I had one of these on my 74 Vega. It's a decent carb. Just a thought. I may have goofed on the "2300" model number on the Holley/Weber. Checked the Summit catalog, and that's what they list for the 500 CFM 2 bbl. Sorry, Gilly tlg225ccr@aol.com |

(I had to increase the pump shot and the power valve rating to get a lean transition into main feed "stumble" out of it) DD |

The Weber 44 IDF 530 CFM 2 brl. now has an adaptor for the Clifford Water Heated Intake Manifold. This has just come out of the Blueprint Department with the new 08-1044 Carb adaptor and Weber 44 at $399.00 + Adaptor at $68.00. 909-303-2333 This will rip the Holley or the Edebrock because the 6 Cyl. engine needs more air than gas at higher RPM`S.
