Hi Guys,

I am from South Africa and I own a 1972 Valiant VIP 225 Double barrel Carter. I recently acquired a 1960 Valiant, a real barnfind, it was stored in a barn for 30 years, very dry climate.

Restoration is going to take some time, money money..... But the car has got 90% of its parts.

Can anyone help with a parts cataloque or for now maybe provide me with a diagram for the rear suspension, as I need the brackets that hold the rear shocks and leave springs to the axle?

I will try to post a pic of the car.

thanks guys

You need to get a Factory Service Manual (FSM). This will really come in handy and are not real expensive. You can get them in paper or electronic versions. In the mean time you can try the early Valiant Barracuda Club and Allpar.

look at your 72 -- the set-up should be very similar---- if I read your question correctly-- you are looking for the shock plate that attaches to the bottom of the leaf spring.
What is holding your rear axle in now?
as for pictures -- you need to host them on a website then link them to this site or your post for them to show---.
