I'm planning to EFI + turbo the Duster. It will be a MS II system with fuel and spark. My question is really about the turbo. I have a line on a new T04B Garrett locally for a good price. Is this a suitable turbo for the 225? The mission is street/strip up to about, oh, maybe 10 PSI of boost.

Other mods will be mild port, Dual Dutra duals, mild cam, Offy manifold. Car has a 904 transmission.

The guy selling was going to use it on a 4.0 Jeep, so I figured the 3.7 slant comes close, but I don't really know much about turbos.

TO4B is the model number, but says nothing about the compressor or turbine trim. Do you have the actual part number or know the compressor trim and exhaust turbine A/R? One of the smaller trim TO4Bs would probably be a good choice.

See, I told you I know nothing about this...

He says intake A/R is .60 and exhause AR is 1.5... whatever that means. 3" exhaust outlet and 2" to the intake.

I have a couple books on turbocharging somewhere... probably best to dig them out.

My bad, 1.15 AR , split ex intake. He does not know what trim the turbine wheel is.

hey new here but had my turbo slant project for about 5yrs now, experimented with several turbos and i can tell u from exp the turbine housing is to big. I used a roto-master for a while with a 1.0 housing boost didn't come on til late and wouldn't hardly make any boost pushing through an intercooler. best turbo i've used so far is the hx35 holset spools up at about 2500 full by 3200 cheap avail. Just my 2¢

The TO4B is the smallest of the TO4 family. I run the TO4S with a ex A/R of .58 for now. I also have the stage 5 wheel and big shaft. You need to figure out what stage and shaft it is in order to get another ex housing. Gerry from G-Pop Shop is sending me a .81 to try this next year. You might want to give him a call. If it is a good deal and not a china knock off, it is worth it. Later
