Seeing the motor below really has me thinking about putting a blower on my /6. Is that a GMC 6-71? If not, what is it?

All i hear about roots blowers is they have extemely good drivability and have great throttle response. I cant imagine why this wouldnt apply to a /6. Can anyone else?

I know there is alot of fabrication and tuning involved, but its well worth it to be different.

That's one of the pictures from the old Tailfins.com site before the site's contents were wiped out. From what I remember, that motor used a GMC 4-71 blower, was over 240 cubic inches, and from the torque curve they expected it to be quite drivable. I don't remember if they had any articles about it being installed on a car; that picture was from a dyno test.
