hello i own a 72 demon /6, carter 1 bbl nothing fancy,my exhaust manifold crack 2 days ago,i need to replace it fast,i have a super six air cleaner,carter bbd,intake,exhaust,and NO LINKAGE :x,will the super six exhaust work with the 1bbl intake OR install the super six with out the linkage for now,i been dying to put in the super six,my holley 1920? carb
is not in top shape litle tire ill say,would like to learn how the linkage works ?,i dont drive much,o almost forgot i replace the oem carb choke
for an electric choke donno know the part # but it cost like $50 bucks
i would like to use it if i dont go the super six way i believe it wont work with the carter carb :( ,please tell me why not to run the super six without
linkage, thank in advace great site

A '72 manifold...that means you have a choke "pocket" that is basicly a hole in the manifold a cup sets into and the choke thermostat goes on top of correct? If you use a later manfold that was used with a super six with your one barrel carb you will need to get an electric choke thermostat for a '73 - '74 225 with a Holley one barrel. I found a choke thermostat years ago from JC Whitney (of all places) when I did a simular manifold swap in my old '72 Satellite. If you go this route, you will also need to wire the choke into a keyed electrical source, and also need a little resister that goes in line with the wiring. Let us know and we can help you out.

ty eric for sharing the difference on the manifolds to others,well my holley
carb was rebuilt about a 6 months is tired, getting a new choke to work with my 78/79 manifold dont seen like a big problem(i do have the 2bbl choke), but i will like to retired my 1bbl asap i had some problems with the 1bbl, super six 2bbl carter is ready to go in i dont have the funds for a linkage from a third party so my only hope is yunk yards which i love,thx
