/6 225-Engine is pretty standard re-build,.040pistons,head and deck shaved .010;Comp Cam 264s/solid lifters with super six and bbd. HEI conversion.
Trans is A833o/d, rear is 3.24 maybe posi-loc it has a plastic plug upper right.
Tires are P235/75R15
Breaking the tires loose is no problem,if it's wet or you're turning as you let off the clutch it will break loose,if not very gentle with it.However cruising in O/D,and climbing almost any grade, you will need to downshift.
Its best mileage so far has been 19.5 was hoping for some better.
Now that the drive train is (hopefully) squared away,the Kluged up exhaust needs attention but does this set up justify a Dutra Dual?,perhaps a 2 1/4"
pipe would be plenty? If this starts off as a dual exhaust,how small would the exhaust pipe need to be to maintain back pressure? If a single pipe,how to finish as a dual?
My truck is a long bed sweptside, but I have visions of exhaust stacks rising from the bed at the front corners, sorta like the Lil Red Express of old.
