Seems that my tranny is leaking it's juice out of the rear seal where the prop shaft inserts. Napa doesn't list any part (that I can find) that's a new seal. I have a FSM from 1965, but it's no help as it's for the trunion style output. So - what's involved in replacing the seal and making this thing not leak? The rubber boot seems okay, but what keeps the gear oil in? What do I need to do? Thanks, Kip-On-Truckin' |

TIMKEN Part # 7300S http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1119060 There is an inner lip seal. The boot just keeps out dust and dirt prolonging the life of the seal. |
