According to the Hot Rod article the "new" hemi con rods are 6.242" with a journal pin size of 2.126". These rods might work on a 170, the hemi rods are .537 inch longer than stock 170 rods with a .061" smaller pin.

I think there could be metric pistons with a compression height to match the new hemi rods. The stock C.H. is 1.740"
