She claims in made no noise or problems before throwing a rod. When I sold the car it had 170k on the clock. I told her the oil guage was out and to always check the oil and keep it full and she'll have no problems. I'm told the S6 motors have mechanical lifters that won't make noise to warn you to add oil. They'll run quietly till they explode. Is that true? I'm just bummed, It was a '74 gold duster with buckets, console, rally mirrors, ac and all the goodies. I think you need to buy it back and put a nice sl6 in it.. the car deserves it.. matt- Quote:
