Quite a while back, Doc had explained to me cam button installation techniques. I printed it and put it somewhere and cant find it now. I am FINALLY assembling the engine and need to know what I should set the cam endplay at. Thanks, 63GT MoparBrat63@aol.com |

This link looks to be broken. Any ideas? I have a cam walk issue on the "street engine" |

The original content is over 20 years old. I bet the link takes it back to the Old Deactivated forum. Are you trying to build yourself a cam button? Greg |

Greg, yes, trying to fabricate a button to ride on the cam bolt. Teflon, Delron, Nylon, something with those types of materials. Lou, I assume you have a welded nut and a bolt riding in the cam bolt? So there is no link to the older material? |

Welded nut to timing cover, then used Slant 6 rocker adjuster screw with polished end. I have run a few motors regularly at 6000 RPM with no button and no troubles, so I can't say they've done anything for me. I have done this on the last few engines/covers I modified/built. Lou |

Stan, here's a link to a thread that contains a link to Doc's page on his site about this. https://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopi ... top#p29971 I hope this helps. |

I do not think you need delrin or any special industrial plastics for this. Greg |
