My /6 is a hard cold starter. Often before it starts it will "diesel" and blow smoke and stuff back through the carb. I think it actually might be turning backwards when this happens. It WILL eventually start, but always takes a while, I usually have to manually open the choke, an I sometimes run through a battery first. I've got plenty of fuel at the carb, and the spark seems strong at the distributor, and at every plug I check. It runs great when it starts, and hot starts are very easy, if I don't give it too much gas. I'm out of ideas.... zac zac_smith@hotmail.com |

Try putting some Maevel Mystery Oil in the crankcase and see if that helps. Works great on sticky valves. Chuck sl6@omnipages.com |
