Hypothetical question regarding solid lifter slants... If a Slant Head is milled to the point that custom pushrods are required and or there is no more adjustment in the rocker arms, can the lifters be milled the same amount to equal things out instead?

No. Solid lifters are not "milled" flat on the contact patch.....there's an ever-so-slight crown, in order to make them rotate as they work with the cam. I suspect there's few machine shops that could duplicate the surface on the bottom of a lifter.

It's not the best way, but but I have used the Mopar rocker shaft shims for the V-8 to raise the shaft enough to compensate for push rods that were just a little too long, after milling the head.

This is most likely a stupid question, but why can't you just cut down the push rods that you already have? Pay someone to do it etc.

It would be possible to do that. However its cheaper to have Smith Brothers just make you new ones. :D :D :D
