I have a driveshaft from a 318 engine from a stock 68 Barracuda A-body car. This is all I know about it.

How can I tell what transmission and rearend my driveshaft will fit, or could there only be one answer for a stock 318 car?

That car may have had a 7.25" or 8.75" rear axle, and could possibly have had a 727 trans. What are you trying to use it for? I think the 904 and 727 A-body transmission had the same overall length, but the rearends were about 1.75" different (7.25" shorter, so driveshaft longer). Best to measure for your application, and measure the driveshaft. That is a 108" wheelbase car, so your shaft is probably somwhere around 49-52".

Thanks Lou, Your information is helpful.

I have a driveshaft for my /6 Barracuda 904, 7-1/4 that is longer than this driveshaft. I wonder if that means my other driveshaft fits a 8-3/4 rearend.

I'm afraid I will not be using this driveshaft. I was going to give it away or sell it, but am unsure how to describe it to someone who may want it.

Slanted,

If you measure the shaft from front U-joint center to rear joint center, and post that, then people might want to buy it. That is a standard way of measuring driveshaft length.
