Post subject:  windage tray in a truck - rear sump pan

spent some time this past weekend messing with an 87 D-150 slant that I pulled from the local pull-a-part,, wanted to see if it was useable core for a future build or if the motor was the reason the truck was where it was,,, looks like the motor is OK,, In the process of checking it out, I set on it a nos mopar windage tray,,, looks to fit on it fine,, posting this as some time ago I spoke with M Jefferies on using one of his windage trays on a D-150 and he did not think it would fit due to the oil pick up going to the rear.
Likely he was being a good dude , and not wanting to sell something that would be a problem,,well it looks like the oil pick up on this rear sump would not be an issue.

That NOS Windage tray has a larger cutout for the pickup tube than a jeffrey tray.

I am sure with a little trimming the jeffery tray would work fine as well.

Good Luck with it John!
