Hi all.
I recently bought a remanufactured cylinder head for my 1979 Volare. I was assured the casting numbers were the same, but when it arrived, it had a different number. I called them and they assured me it would work on my car. Well, after some research I found out that they sent me a head that is at least 1 year older than my car, and possibly 4yrs older. (casting number 3698447-7, for 225:1975-78 ) vs. mine (casting number 4104362, for 225:1979-80).
The question I have is, will there be any major differences in performance or technological advances, etc. using this older head on my car?
Thanks!

That head will work fine. The newer head doesn't have any advantages I'm aware of. Does the '447 head have air injection? If so and your current/old head does not you'll have to block off that port at the rear of the manifold face.
