If the engine is in good condition, 50-to 75 horse shot should not be a problem. I've put that much an many stock Slants... "wakes them up" good. DD

yeah the motor runs like a top. i have a backup in case anything happens. if a 75 shot wakes it up would a 100-125 shot make it scream? would it hold it? thats a crazy little setup you got there. i was gonna run a base plate system, i have the offy 4bbl and 2 1/2 exhaust on it if that makes a difference. |

As you move past 75 HP of N2O, pay special attention to the fuel system and the ignition system. At higher HP shots, a dedicated fuel system with an adjustable regulator and a pressure gauge is needed. I have found that a top quality ignition set-up is also needed or else you get mis-fire with lot's of spray. DD |

Not much to it, most everything is shown in the photo. Note that I have a 3rd 'nos only' nozzle mounted in-board, between the inner manifold mounting bolt hole and the carb base opening. That nozzle sprays a small shot of pure NO2 right into the incoming A/F mix coming through the 1BBL carb. The only trick, making sure you clear the carb. & linkage with the fogger nozzles and pointing the spray paths so you get good mixing with the incoming A/F. I am very pleased with how this systems works, the distribution is great and it took 3 seconds off my stock SL6. (from mid 18's to mid 15's on the spray) DD |

75 shot should be good i put a 100shot on my old motor and that motor was running 9.6's in the 1/8 without the nos so it got fun with the bottle on. Kev |

I have cast pistons in my dart, and use an offy 4 barrel, and edelbrock 600 carb. A 50 shot took my car (3300lb street car) down from 14.8 to a 14.0 without any tuning, I basically just cut the timing back. I think you might be surprised what it will do. Especially once you tune your engine for the 75 shot. Problem is we always want more. I will most likely be spraying much more this year, but I will also be using an egt sensor and air/fuel ratio meter to try to make sure it doesn't go lean with the higher hp. I had the opportunity to run with Charlie S. on a test and tune night last year, and i got to see his car go from a 17.?? to mid 13's using 125 shot on a 170 engine. I was very surprised. |

Keep adding 25hp until engine blows. Install new engine and go back to shot size that didn't blow engine............ |

Nahw, just pull some piston out of the old spare engine in the corner, install with new gaskets, done. About $30 Install new engine and go back to shot size that didn't blow engine............ |

That was the first time that car had been to the track in 2 years. The engine is a totally stock short block, just a cam and bolt-on's, with the nitrous. Don't run too much timing, and don't go lean.

I've run as high as a 150 shot on hyperteutectic pistons that everyone said you could not spray. They were fine. 175 shot with a fuel rich tune-up was not fine. |
