Does anyone know where to get a carburetor spacer for these carburetors?
I have done a search and come up with nothing.
The reason i ask is because i was looking on Aussie Speeds tech section on the long runner 2 barrel manifolds and when they were testing they got better flow and distribution with the 2 hole version rather than the open version.
As every 2 barrel Australian inlet manifold i have ever seen (including the one i have on the APE)is an open version,i would like to experiment with a spacer until i can afford an Aussie Speed long runner manifold.
Cheers,
Greg

If anyone is interested i found these.
They fit the slant 6 ,2 barrel inlet manifold.
They are great quality and fit perfectly.

If you have a slant BBD it takes a different gasket than a V8 BBD.

I'd be interested in your findings Bucket. I haven't seen that issue discussed here, but then again I haven't read every thread. :o

I've got the open version on my parallel 2 barrel. Keep us posted on how the 2 hole versus the single slot works out for you.

Yes,i know that.
I didn't use the gaskets that came with the phenolic spacer,i already had the V8 BBD gaskets.

It worked out pretty good.
I could get a reasonable idle with the V8 BBD (i also put in 2 butterflies with no holes)with a worn throttle shaft.
After i installed the 1/2 inch spacer and started it up it sat there idling smooth as.
I took it for a drive and it was/is smoother through the rev range and has a bit more pick-up when i accelerate up a hill.
Gympie has a lot of hills,i think they just laid the bitumen on top of the old goat tracks.
I guess the word i'm looking for is CRISPER.
It seems to of made acceleration CRISPER.
