how do you get access to it, remove the wiper motor? my dad's ram lost one wiper first (the passenger side) and as of today they are both gone, motor still runs fine. also, where could I get linkage from since I'm assuming the end joints are shot...can I get them new or do I need to go junkyard hopping? thanks in advance guys! |

Most likely the linkage bushings are shot. They are available at the dealer, or an auto parts store in the "HELP" brand. Dealer bushing are pricey, but those are the ones I recommend. I have had problems with the aftermarket ones. Harder to install, and have had issues with squeeks, after a period of time. |

thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! is there an easy way to get access to the linkage? does the cowl remove relatively easy? |

hello. once you have the wiper arms removed, the cowl is held on by screws, usually rusty so be careful not to strip them out. i have used the cheap "help" bushings, just be sure to put some petroleum jelly or anti seize on them. a couple packs had some lube already in them and a couple did not. just under 2 years on mine and so far so good. andy. |

i would follow Charlie_S advice and get the dealer bushings if you can. if you use the cheap ones, get a couple extra and save a return trip to the HELP rack. |

I've been told the NAPA bushings are much better than the 'HELP'/Doorman bushings and less expensive than the dealer ones. But I've had good luck with the Doorman ones. A little dab of grease inside the bushing definitely helps. While you have it apart, might as well replace all 3 of them. Once 1 goes, the others likely aren't far behind. |

The help section packages 3 pairs of various types-the ones for the dodge seem to fall off easier.Napa is more of a direct fit and snap on tight. |
