Did the A-999 ever come in a Slant-equipped car? I'd like to swap one into my Duster for just that bit more mileage.

If not, then can I use the Slant bellhousing and transfer the A999 internals into it?

There was never a 999 with the SL6 main case. (Bolt pattern)

All the parts swap over into the SL6 904 case with the exception of the reverse band.

So, in that case, I would just use the 904 reverse band with the other 999 internals, in the 904 case?
