I've sourced an original intake that's been made (professionally) into a 2bbl. and it's an east west configuration. I was going to get a 350 holley, and then decided to go to the 500 2bbl holley (far as I'm aware it's same as the 350 just minor changes?). Question is, will this car work with the 500cfm and not be a terrible drive, until the other work has been done? The car is un registered but I like to drive it a little from time to time. At the moment car doesn't go past 3000 rpm, (current carb is bad). This is the engine build so far. port and polish new ignition + bigger coil Headders Plan to, Up compression ratio + bigger valves 1.7 1.44 valves. Then finally, new cam. |

The 500 will be a pain in the butt, and will not work well as a driver. You will need to build a pretty wild slant to work with it. The 350 will provide much better driveability once you get it tuned in. 2¢ CJ |

I agree with with Ceej. If you were planning an all out race engine then maybe the 500 would be the way to go. The 350 will be more than enough carb for a street/strip engine. |

Thanks guys, I'll do that then, Since it's the original manifold changed to fit a two bbl. Think I will need a new kick down linkage? |

Yes. You will need the chrysler throttle lever adapter to operate the carburetor fully, and some form of kickdown. I like the Lokar cable. There is another manufacturer that makes a cable folks like also, but I don't know the name of it. You can build a mechanical one to operate the TV on the transmission as well. CJ |
