Hey guys,
So it looks like im not going to have the budget i thought i would for my small build; comp cam kit and timing chain, super six conversion, hei, full exhaust, electric fan.

What i plan on doing though is, pretty much everything above but the cam kit.

My question is, can any of you guesstimate what my hp and trq increase will be with the mods i want to do? From the stock rated 95 hp and 160ft lbs. Also any estimates on the cost of everything.

I have a new walker 2.5" cat and want to get a purple horny glass pack for the exhaust.

Thanks for the help guys,
Cody

You've got gobs of room under the hood -- why not skip the electric fan (which will aggravate existing charging system inadequacies and use a clutch fan instead, thus saving money for a nice cam (from Erson, not from the jokers at Comp)?

Why not a $70 cam from Oregon Cam Grinding? The cam is cheaper than the head work needed to really take advantage of other modifications. It's more than $70 just to mill a head to get the compression ratio up to a respectable level.

Vancouver, WA. They do excellent work. They know cams, but not slants so it's best to tell them what you want. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=191616

We have discussed cams a lot here. DadTruck also has a hydraulic cammed 225 and did a lot of simulations. Read the thread here: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43301
