The ruptured charcoal canister was a common method of demise for many a D-series truck. The probability of getting all the charcoal bits out of the carb is nil. If you really need one, you can replace the charcoal inside your existing canister. I just tossed mine in the garbage because my new carb has no vacuum lines for it, or I would have given it to you. Bad timing I guess. |

I have heard of folks adding a fuel filter to the vaccum line to catch the carbon,, don't know if it a good long term fix,, never did it myself. |
