If I remember correctly, a picture of Fab64's 2280 318 choke modification was in a thread titled "Genuine NOS Slant six specific Holley 2280 carbs" I searched for the thread and it no longer exists. Does anyone have that picture for future reference? I found one pic:

Sorry, I just saw this post. Here is my carb without the bracket: ![]() And with the bracket: ![]() Without the bracket, the rod is below center-line of shaft, and tends to push it open, rather than closed. ![]() Pics of the bracket: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's rather crude, but does the job. The idea is to keep it as small as possible, and try not to interfere with any part of the linkage. You just need to raise the choke linkage rod up so it's above the center-line of the choke shaft, so it will push the choke closed when it's cold. |

Crap, I'm sad that thread got dumped. This mod applies to using v-8 BBDs on the slant six too. |
