Is it fairly simple to convert an A904's linkage from being mounted on the steering column to being a floor mount? I'd like to do this, just for the sake of appearance, once I replace the bench seat with a pair of buckets. |

Assuming you want an aftermarket floor shifter (B&M, Hurst...) then it should be a snap. The shifter will come with a cable and brackets to attach to your stock trans shift lever. I am assuming that you do NOT have a '65 car with factory cable linkage, that would be considerably harder, but still doable. Lou |

It's a 1970 with what looks (in the Haynes manual) like rod linkage. Do the B&M or Hurst kits come with just the shifter itself, or the whole assembly? I'm also guessing I'll have to cut a whole in the tranny hump for this.

The aftermarket shifter come as a complete kit. As noted, most have a cable so all you need to do is drill a hole for the cable to go through and also a few mounting holes for the shifter itself. The factory stuff can also be used but that is a lot more work and requires welding. DD |

I'd take it but I wanna get the bucket seats in the Dart first, and before those I need a new alternator for my truck |

Sweet, I'll be sure to. I'm hoping to have her buckets by February (in time for her birthday), so hopefully you'll still have it then :p |
