| Post subject: | turbo plumbing |
Im plumbing the turbo and it needs pressurized oil, a return and a water line with return. I put a T on the oil pump pressure sender and ran a line up along the valve cover to supply to the oil and the 1" drain goes right into the side of the pan under the rail. Im thinking of using the same logic and run my pressurized water feed from the water temp sender hole, put a street T there and run the straight threads to the temp sender and the 90 out to the line to the turbo cartridge. Where do I plumb in the return line? I saw one going straight to the upper radiator tank, but Im afraid of the flexing of the rigid line may crack it over time. Is there a low pressure area on the motor that I can run the return to, like maybe the other end of the heater hose loop? (no heater core, just the hose looped) Almost went with the tapping of the oil galley into the "tombstone" but passed when I looked at my cheap 1/8 NPT tap. |

If you don't have a heater you have two ready made connection points. The connection on the head is the feed side, the water pump is the return. |

Sounds good, didnt know the volume of that particular line but since im using 3/8 rigid lines, I dont think Ill blow anything. I guess Ill just tap a few pipe plugs for 3/8 flare fittings and clamp them to the hose stubs. Thanks. |
