I have a 73' engine block and two heads 73 and 80 years. Both in good condition. What is preferable?

You will get differing opinions depending on who answers. Performance-wise, they will have identical potential. 73 has drool tubes so some don't like those for small oil leaks. 80 is a heavier head (few lbs).

You can use the extended tip spark plugs with the drool tube heads.

The extended tip plugged engines tend to run smoother.
