Hi ya all. Ok I set the valves on my 78 super six and now it acts like its flooded when I start it. Runs great on the road, idles good. I have set valves on many different engines so I'm no stranger to this. Help please! Thanks Adam |

Can you describe for us the procedure you used to set the valves on this engine? |

Oops I posted my reply in the wrong spot. Ok I brought each cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke and set intakes on 10 and exhausts on 20. Engine was over night cold. |

It's likely too tight then. With the OEM cam, if your going to set it cold, add a thousandth or two. The FSM method is set running, hot. CJ |
