| Post subject: | Slant Six Fender Emblem |
When I had my 1964 Valiant convertible painted, I took all of the chrome/emblems off. When I put all of the emblems back on I discovered that the paint shop left 2 holes for an emblem in my passenger front fender. For years I figured that I was missing an emblem that belonged there. I recently discovered that it is for the "v8" emblem! My fender must have been replaced by a fender from a car that had a 273 in it. Everything is perfect, except for those two small holes. My son says that I should get the "v8" emblem and put it there. I will hold him while a few of you work him over. There is no way I will ever put that "v8" on my slant six car. I saw some threads about "slant 6" "slix" emblems. Did they ever develop into anything? Please help |

Hello, Perhaps one of the Australian production 160 HP badges might work for you? ![]() ![]() The common color was the red and white checker, but you see the odd yellow variety around as well. Ebay usually has these listed. regards,Rod |

Then build an engine that has close to 160 horsepower so you can justify having this on your car! |

A little creative shopping in the Autostoned bling aisle would probably net you a couple of chrome-plated plastic pieces that could be arranged into a "/ 6" or "\ 6". The direction of the slant depends on whether you're driving it or working on it. Or you could spell out "Slant Six", but that would cover more than the two holes you describe. Whatever you come up with, we want pics! |
