hello every one, does any one know if i can buy a new throttle plate new for a carter BBD. i know i can fix it . but just wondering if i could buy one. |

You can get throttle shaft bushing tool from carbjunkys on ebay, they may have throttle plates too, only a phonecall away. Olaf. |

well thanks for the tip but they were not able to help. well i sent my shaft out to a recognized machine shop and he rebushinged the throttle plate. and i got it all buttoned up on the /6 and bam its actually leaking worse than before. FML. it doesn't look like a profesional job to me the holes still look oval and there is still significant throttle shaft play. so i hooked up with a nother guy that works at a chrysler dealer ship. and im taking it to him on monday at lunch. hopefully he fixes it though i do know that the teflon coating on the shaft is worn down were it rides in the throttle plate. so thats probally bad but . for future reference be very detailed when you get stuff machined. |
