From my '68 Dart 270. I took this part and its mounting bracket off the car years ago and just ran across them again. I think it's part of the a.c. system. Once I confirm this, I'm going to post it to the Buy/Sell board (at shipping cost), so let me know if you're interested. I also have the dealer a.c. hang on unit, but the rest of the system I got rid of years ago. Thanks. Okay, while you're at it let me know if you know why those images above weren't posting. Here are links instead. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d73 ... /ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1d73 ... /ry%3D400/ |

Yes, that is part of the A/C system. That is the receiver drier. It is the part that has the sight glass so you can look and see if there are bubbles in the system. |

The bracket is still usable. The filter-dryer is now scrap metal. That's because it's been left open to the air for (way, far) longer than a brief moment. It contains a dessicant which has now become saturated by atmospheric moisture. Using this dryer in an A/C system would be a sure-fire recipe for costly system damage and failure. |

Oh. Well then, I'll do away with the canister. Thanks, gents. |
