Took the dart around the block today and noticed that the speedometer needle starts at 10 or 12 mph. I just changed the speedo cable with a brand new one. Needle goes up and down as it should when I accelerate/decelerate but when i stop it doesnt go down to 0. Is there a way to adjust the starting point of the needle? My speedo is the round one like the early 'Cuda : ![]() Thanks for any help. Syed |

You will probably fix this problem by removing the gauge panel faceplate and physically bending the speedo needle rearward (towards the back of the car) slightly so that it no longer hangs on the speedometer face between the 0 and the 10. If not, remove the speedometer and you can see if oiling the bearing will clear it up, but at this late date it probably needs rebuilt. |
