Quick question from a Plymouth body-style n0ob...

Are '67 Valiant fenders, rear deck lid, bumpers, & doors(4 door vehicles) conpatable w/ a '68 Valiant body?

Limited time to research on the webz, so I'm asking here.

EDIT - I'm now being told the '69 is actually a '67 Signet..so still interchangable parts?

Yes, but the '69 fenders won't have holes for the round '68 side marker lights. Instead they'll be equipped with rectangular side marker reflectors.

The wires should hook up to them though.

Awesome, thank you for the reply. I was aware of the '68 only round running lamps, but had no clue on the fitting of the random sheet metal.

How about the tail lamp trim, are they a match?

No…the wires will not hook up to them. There is nothing for the wires to hook up to. The '68s have side marker lights. The '69s have side marker reflectors. The relevant regulation required all vehicles starting for '68 to have front amber and red rear side marker lights or reflectors; starting 1/1/70 the regulation requires lights and reflectors.

Yes,but the 67 has no side markers. All val from 67-73 the parts will interchange,as long as on the 73 you use the whole frot clip.

Gracias, Mopar errr raPoM

Can't wait to break out the tools & pick the '67 clean. The rear deck lid & both fenders were my main concern.

I always thought highly of the '67 Valiant grill…and the '69, for that matter. The '68 ain't bad, but I like the other two better.

I agree! The 67 is my favorite,no side markers makes for a very sleek looking body.

I donno that any year Valiant could properly be called "sleek"! Image Some side markers are more obtrusive than others, but I think any Valiant looks better unhit/undented, and side marker lights and reflectors are very effective at reducing your likelihood of getting hit.

My buddy justin has been daily driving his 67 Valiant for 15 years and its never been hit. Logs about 20,000 miles a year,in So Cal traffic. While my brother has only had his 2007 accord for 3 years and it has been hit twice. Once when he was not even in it...

The '67 is my fave as well. Currently my grill is minus the drivers side emblem & the passenger side grill has been damaged sometime in the past.

I'm told that only half the grill is w/ the '67. I'll be able to scope it out for the first time prolly on Wed of this coming week.

I am partial to my '67, although I have thought about going to a 1969 grill/hood. I like the clean lines of the '69 front end.
