for those that occasionally post concerning the split castle nuts on the ends of the exhaust manifold

in clearing off the work bench I came across a Mason jar that I had put about a 50/50 mix of gas and oil in.. probably been sitting there for 6 months, maybe a year,, dumped it and found that it contained a couple sets of the exhaust manifold castle bolts where the stud had screwed out of the cylinder head, because the nut was froze to the stud.

been soaking for a long time so, I clamped the nut in a vise and put a short pipe wrench on the stud,, on seven of the eight "froze assemblies" the stud screwed free,,,one was still stuck...

so if you let then soak long enough,, they should free up.
