How many of you east coast guys would be interested in running a slant six race at the annual Mopars at the Rock? I am trying to get a purse together and maybe work this out with the show promoter but if we can only get four or five cars to show up it might not happen. Right now it looks like the same date (april 12) as the Joplin show but I do not see how they can interfer with each other. What do you guys think? If I can work it out where if you enter either the car show, or bracket race and are a slant six powered car you get free entry into /6 race how many of you guys would be interested?? Tom Drake |

Hey Tom, my memory seems to have eluded me. Where is the Mopars At The Rock held exactly? Thanks, hopefully it's not to far from Jax, Fl, if so I will attend. Jason. |

That was my first Slant Six race, in 2001. I liked the track (it's quick), and the management. I cannot guarantee to be there, but I would try, especially if the purse were attractive, and had points. Last year there were no points. |

ask jim cox about the management. as i recall there was a bit of trouble there. if i have a car worthy of running i will probably make it. -james |

Hey Tom, That would be cool for me, but it looks like I will probably be doing a road racing weekend then at VIR. I would definitely go to the Rock if VIR falls through though. Thanks for the efforts, Lou |

Guys, It does not look good for a race at Rockingham. They have cut the show/race from 2 days to 1 day. I am going to contact a few of the other shows in NC/SC and see what weekends they fall on. If I can find a good 2 day show with a drag race facility I will see what I can work out. Whta does everyone think about a $400-500 payout(back 4 places) with free entry if you enter the car show or regular race?? Tom |
