Looks like the 2bbl wasn't around until the '77 model year. Why was it I thought you could get it in '76 on the Feather Duster? Oh well. Guess I was wrong. I am going to se if I can't get a better copy of the video as the sound quit while I was watching it. |

Featherd Duster was only offered with the Holley 1945 with some calibration in the settings to help with economy.-D.Idiot |

OK so the "tin top" BBD's were new for '76? Just not a slant version, right? I have seen what I think are '74 air metered BBD's with the plastic bowl vent fitting. |

Now we learn that there was a 2bbl option on the trucks before the cars. Not a super six carb. |

'77 was the first year for the 2bbl on slant-6s in cars, trucks, and vans in the US/Canadian market. '67 for export/international markets. Rug_Trucker, I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "not a super six carb", because "Super Six" was just the phrase on an air cleaner decal. |

"not a super six carb" is his referance to the trucks and vans carburetors not specific to the super six carbs that he believes was an option before '77, the 2bbl truck/van carbs are not super 6 carbs. I'm just relaying. Also yes, super six was a sticker related to the 2bbl option on '78+ cars right?

The slant specific tin top has a smaller venturi, different sized orifices in the idle screw areas, and is thicker on the flat part on the front where the choke is. I guess more velocity, less CFM? Hmmmmm......I didn't check the '77 van carb I rebuilt. It is running on my buddy's '80 van right now. |

No 2bbl option pre-'77 in US/Canada.Quote: the 2bbl truck/van carbs are not super 6 carbs.
Incorrect.Quote: super six was a sticker related to the 2bbl option on '78+ cars right?

'77-up.Quote: the 2bbl truck/van carbs are not super 6 carbs. As I knew and relieved rug_truckers poor perception. |
