Seems to be for racing purposes, would just like to know if my 65 crank will drop into which years? I don't know if its cast or not

Is there an obvious difference between the two style blocks? Is there anything else I need to take into consideration for part interchangability? Heads... Motor mounts, uhh pan or pickup? Or is everything else good to go?

Also, would it be okay to reuse the main bearings on a different block? Everything is 100% new, just my current block is bad and everything is torqued down as of now

Rob-

Thanks for the correction. I have seen 75's that had cast crank motors, but I guess they were swapped in later.

Kielbasa- Yes you can reuse the bearings if they are new.

The forged crank uses wider bearings than the cast crank version...

Doc's motor article is a good guide.
