well
I doing my math for a built na engine
and from studying inet sales/offers for last 2 years...
it looks like those that change direction sell their complete built engines
far less then you can build one,
looks like 1/2 price generally

thoughts..

1/2 price if you're lucky. When the economy is good race stuff usually brings 25-50 cents on the dollar. In times like this it goes down. :(

You know what they say, the best way to make a small fortune racing is to start with a big one.

If you can find a motor close to what you want, from a reliable source (like Kev), then it can be a great deal. As always, buyer beware. Of course, machine shops can screw up new motors too...

Nothin fancy, just a forged crank/ forged rods/ stock type cast piston deal
head was cut .100 off plus clean up i think the last time i checked the numbers is was close to 10:1 compression erson cam 238@.50 510lift 108lsa/ erson springs and lifters. When i ren it was going 9.6's in the 1/8 at like 71mph in my car i think it had some more because I the 390holley seemed to be running out of steam. Oh and the head has bigger eng builder valves in it some mild porting of the runners and bowls. Pulled engine out drove it everday before that just been sitting collecting dust now :(

engine block may be a 64 if i remeber it's got the bigger pilot crank, forged new old stock rods, 40over bore.
Pulled the engine because i didn't have room for a slant 12 :)
I built a seperate engine for the turbo setup used that one.
The motor ran fine when I pulled it out does need a pan gasket by the looks of it. I built that motor 2008? i think but i took it apart like 2 years ago to cut the head and went ahead an put new bearings and what not even though it didn't need it. Drove it for another year after tear down and pulled it out to make room for turbo motor been sitting ever since.
Uh what ever a stock duster with full street trim and a 8 3/4 rear weights probably over 3000lbs. Oh and i did run one bottle worth of 100shot of nitrous through the motor never had any problems with that but didn't like the nitrous thats basically what pushed me into my turbo idea because I liked how fast it was on the 100shot. Oh cylinder head is a drool tube style not peanut plug oh and using that aussie head gasket I bought from charrlie.
